Dr. DeShaw is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist with decades of experience serving the Plano and Frisco communities. He began his studies at Brooklyn College of Pharmacy and earned his B.S. from the University of Houston in 1969. In 1973, he graduated as a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. DeShaw provides comprehensive eye exams for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. His practice, DeShaw Eye, offers full-service family eye care and contact lens fitting for all ages.
Before opening his private practice, Dr. DeShaw proudly served as an optometrist in the U.S. Navy at the Great Lakes Naval Base. In 1975, he established his private practice in Plano, Texas, becoming one of the area’s first optometrists.
Throughout his career, Dr. DeShaw has been an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association.
